Dr. Scott Franklin是国际植被生态学研究领域知名专家，主要研究植被动态与干扰的关系，在河岸带与岛屿生态学研究方面有很深的造诣。现任The American Midland Naturalist副主编，美国生态学会植被组成员，Geography Compass编委会成员。近年来在Journal of Applied Ecology, Journal of Vegetation Science, Plant Ecology, Forest Ecology and Management等刊物上发表论文33篇。
